Alder's Response to COVID-19

Along with our peers in Teacher Education, Alder GSE is adjusting its program to meet the needs of stakeholders given the many repercussions of the COVID-19 virus, specifically school closures and testing center closures. To date we have:

  • Resumed in-person clinical work and graduate course work with the flexibility of moving to an online format as local and state health guidelines allow.
  • Continued to share news and updates with our community to ensure everyone is up to date on Alder’s response to COVID-19 and changes in the community.
  • Continued to align with statewide CTC guidelines and provide personalized support for candidates to meet program testing guidelines.

It is our hope that in this difficult season we might see the best parts of who we are emerge in response to challenges (and opportunities). It is our fervent hope and goal to support all of our current and future residents to achieve their dream of becoming excellent teachers. Now more than ever, we are actively working toward our mission: To create opportunity and cultivate success for every student by recruiting and educating excellent teachers and leaders who reflect our schools’ communities.
