Alexandra Nell’s journey in education began as an English teacher through the NYC Teaching Residency, and later evolved into instructional coaching in the Los Angeles Unified School District and, most recently, in Oakland Unified. In coaching, Alexandra has been been committed to building intentional, collaborative partnerships with educators to support their holistic development, and in turn, support students’ academic success. Working with residents and mentors at Alder feels like coming full circle, and she is eager to support future educators in OUSD and SLZUSD as they lay the groundwork for meaningful, enduring careers in the classroom.
