Birdwell Gonzalez is the Recruitment and Admissions Specialist at Alder Graduate School of Education and a first-generation college graduate from Sonoma State University where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Prior to joining Alder, Birdwell gained over three years of experience in academic institutions, law firms, and the biotech industry, with a focus on project management, administrative coordination, and financial processing.

His professional background includes roles at Stanford University’s John S. Knight Fellowships , where he led the creation of a comprehensive historical archive for the university library, and at Stanford Global Studies, where he coordinated event logistics and managed financial operations across departments. He has also supported administrative systems at Fenwick & West LLP and Corcept Therapeutics, consistently contributing to improved workflow efficiency and cross-functional communication.

Birdwell is passionate about equity in education and brings a deep commitment to access and representation in higher learning. Outside of work, he enjoys playing guitar and traveling.
