Carolyn Parker, EdD

Director, EDCOE Teacher Residency at Alder GSE

Carolyn began her educational career as a middle school Science Teacher and a K-5 Classroom Teacher. After twelve years in the classroom, she transitioned to public school administration and served as an Elementary School Principal in the Pleasanton Unified School District. In addition to her role as a site principal, Carolyn has been a Director of Human Resources, and, most recently, she was the Director of Curriculum & Instruction for the Moraga School District. She is passionate about her new role at EDCOE and supporting and investing in the recruitment of educators in El Dorado County.

A lifelong learner, Carolyn is proud to be a National Board-Certified Teacher. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Saint Mary’s College in Moraga, and a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership from the University of LaVerne.
