Chris began his teaching career in New Orleans in 2012 with Teach for America. In 2015, Chris moved to the Bay to be a founding Third-Grade and Fourth-Grade Teacher with KIPP Excelencia Community Prep in Redwood City. While at KECP, Chris was a Grade-Level Chair for three years, a Regional Math-Content Lead for one year, and a Mentor Teacher with KIPP/Alder Teacher Residency during the 2018–2019 school year. Most recently, Chris spent two years teaching at the American School Foundation in Mexico City. Chris holds a Bachelor’s degree from California State University–Fullerton and a Master’s degree in Education with an emphasis in STEAM from the University of San Diego.
