Chris Balik

Associate Director, KIPP NorCal Public Schools Teacher Residency at Alder GSE

Chris began his teaching career in New Orleans in 2012 with Teach for America. In 2015, Chris moved to the Bay to be a founding Third-Grade and Fourth-Grade Teacher with KIPP Excelencia Community Prep in Redwood City. While at KECP, Chris was a Grade-Level Chair for three years, a Regional Math-Content Lead for one year, and a Mentor Teacher with KIPP/Alder Teacher Residency during the 20182019 school year. Most recently, Chris spent two years teaching at the American School Foundation in Mexico City. Chris holds a Bachelor’s degree from California State UniversityFullerton and a Master’s degree in Education with an emphasis in STEAM from the University of San Diego.
