Kristin is a TOSA Director for Lynwood USD Teacher Residency. She is originally from the East Coast, where she received a BA in Communication Disorders. After spending time abroad teaching English to young students, she shifted career paths to earn a Master’s in Education and Human Development in the field of Early Childhood Special Education. She also has experience as a Behavior Therapist, Children’s Yoga Instructor, Social-Skills Group Leader, and inclusive Preschool Teacher, but she has been working in Lynwood as a Preschool SDC Teacher and PBIS Team Member for the past 4 years.

Kristin loves being in the early-childhood special-education classroom, but she has taken on a new role this year to support the Alder Teacher Residency program in Lynwood. Prior to this, she also served as a Mentor Teacher with the program for 2 years. She is passionate about supporting social emotional learning, encouraging a positive classroom culture, integrating sensory and movement experiences into instruction, and creating meaningful connections with students. Her hobbies include hiking, camping, and anything outdoors!
