Pronouns: he/him

Pedro Navejas Rodriguez is passionate about serving rural communities in the Central Valley. His passion stems from the examples his parents set for him as equity-driven educators and agricultural workers.

Pedro graduated from UC Berkeley in 2013, with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and an English minor. He joined Teach for America and taught sixth- to eighth-grade language arts in Grandview, WA for five years. Pedro led professional learning communities for Teach for America and his school. In 2018, Pedro moved back to the Central Valley to be closer to his family and continued his teaching career in Delano, CA for WCPA. He collaborated with teachers and administrators to develop rigorous and culturally relevant curriculum. He earned a Master’s in Teaching degree from the University of Washington in 2019.

After becoming an instructional coach for grades 3–12, Pedro saw a need to support aspiring teachers in rural communities. Pedro is excited to cultivate transformational teachers as Coordinator of Teacher Residency for Grow Public Schools.
