Laura Hayes is the Director of the Alder WIDE Teacher Residency in Southern California, leading the cohort of residents from WISH, ICEF, Da Vinci, El Segundo Unified, Ednovate, Bright Star, and Libertas. Laura began her education career as a Ninth-Grade Math Teacher at Oakland Technical High School in Oakland Unified. She has worked in both traditional districts and charter networks as a teacher, academic dean, principal, and district leader. Laura earned her BS at the University of Wisconsin and her MA at UC Berkeley’s Principal Leadership Institute. She is happy to call Los Angeles home since 2020, and she enjoys exploring all that Southern California has to offer!
