Alex Caram is Managing Director of Strategy and Partnerships at Alder GSE. Prior to joining Alder, Alex was an Associate Partner at NewSchools Venture Fund, where she designed and led the diligence and selection processes in innovative schools and service providers. Through this work, she supported early stage education entrepreneurs with business planning and strategy development. Alex was a coach with New Teacher Center, supporting first- and second-year teachers to develop the mindsets, skills, and practices needed to be successful in their first years of teaching. She started her career teaching and leading in public middle and high schools in the Bay Area and in Chicago. Alex earned her MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management, her MA in Education and Teaching Credential from Stanford Teacher Education Program, and her AB from Princeton University.
