Brenda Mercado is a Recruitment and Admissions Manager at Alder Graduate School of Education. A Bay Area native, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration from San Diego State University. She has spent her career working in education, recruitment, and community outreach, with a focus on connecting individuals with opportunities to learn, grow, and serve their communities.

Prior to joining Alder, Brenda served as a Recruitment Manager at Aspire Public Schools, where she led full-cycle recruitment efforts and partnered with school leaders to identify and hire teachers, administrators, and other school-based staff. Through her work in education recruitment, Brenda developed a passion for building relationships and helping people find opportunities where they can make a meaningful impact.

Now at Alder, Brenda is excited to bring her recruitment experience and support aspiring educators as they take the next step toward becoming teachers and leaders in their communities.
