Erik Brown

Director of Finance

Erik Brown is the Director of Finance at Alder, overseeing budgeting and forecasting. He began his career as a Management Consultant at The Parthenon Group, where he worked on corporate strategy and due diligence for clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to startups. After consulting, he joined Teach For America and taught seventh-grade math and science for four years at Cesar Chavez Academy in East Palo Alto, California. From there, Erik went to UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business for an MBA degree and served as Co-President of the Haas Education Leadership Club, the President of the Berkeley MBA Rugby Club, a Board Fellow at Leadership Public Schools, and as an Oakland Small Schools Resident at Think College Now. He graduated from Princeton University in 2000 with a degree in Economics and a Certificate in East Asian Studies.
