Keeva began her career in education in Pittsburg Unified School District. Since 2007, she has remained in PUSD supporting scholars in a variety of roles. She has served in the role of Special Education Pre-school aide, substitute teacher, 2nd grade teacher, and most recently as an Early Literacy Coach.

Keeva earned her B.A. in Liberal Studies with a Dance Option from CSU East Bay. She earned her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from CalStateTEACH, Monterey Bay. She later returned to CSU East Bay to earn a M.S. in Educational Leadership and Administrative Credential. Keeva is currently pursuing a doctorate in Educational Leadership for Social Justice from CSU East Bay.
