Mariah Klein earned a Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential at San Francisco State University in 2001. She taught at Daniel Webster Elementary in the San Francisco Unified School District, then moved to Think College Now in the Oakland Unified School District, where she served on the Leadership Team and, as a Fourth- and Fifth-Grade Teacher, contributed to the school’s first designation as a California Distinguished School. After leaving the classroom, she transitioned to teacher education at Alliant International University. For the last ten years, she’s supported aspiring teachers in a variety of ways, including coordinating seminars and workshops, working in admissions, and, most recently, as Credentials Analyst. Mariah joins the Alder team as Registrar and Credentials Analyst and sees both roles as an opportunity to help make the teaching path smoother and more equitable. Mariah lives in Oakland with her husband and three children.
