Mary Kate is absolutely thrilled and honored to be beginning this new adventure, not only for herself, but for her district as well. Having taught in the San Rafael City School District for 20 years, she has a great understanding of the varying school sites and their unique needs.

In addition to teaching, she has also been a Resident Supervisor for Dominican University for 8 years. In this role, she partnered student teachers with mentors, created schedules, performed weekly observations, provided feedback, and met quarterly with Dominican staff. This experience will help her transition to her new role.

She is excited to continue to work with new teachers entering the education field. Her passion explodes when she discusses this career choice. She will continue to lead in a way that creates a safe environment for all, with “our students” always being at the forefront of our decision-making. Mary Kate earned her Bachelor’s Degree from UC–Santa Barbara. She went on to get her Teaching Credential and Master’s in Education at Dominican University. Lastly, she earned her Administrative Credential from San Francisco State University.
