Nadia Diaz Funn

Founder and CEO, Cora Consulting

Nadia Diaz Funn is the founder and CEO of Cora Consulting, LLC, a Los Angeles-based firm focused on supporting philanthropic and nonprofit organizations to maximize their impact through strategic advising, planning, capacity building and stakeholder engagement.  

Most recently, Ms. Diaz Funn served as a Portfolio Manager for Ballmer Group where she led the organization’s regional and statewide K-12 and post-secondary education investments and was a leading contributor to the development of its Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategy.  Prior to that, she served as the Executive Director of the Alliance for Better Community where she led numerous policy and power building initiatives to increase educational opportunities for LAUSD students, strengthen parent engagement and choice, and expand access to higher education. Diaz Funn also served in various leadership roles at the Los Angeles Unified School District leading parent engagement policy efforts, implementation of the Local Control Funding Formula, development and facilitation of the LAUSD COO Leadership Program and the LAUSD VISTA Program.  

Nadia holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Yale University, a Master of Public Management degree from the University of Maryland and is a graduate of the California Executive Fellows program. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of Families in Schools, The Foundation for the Los Angeles Community Colleges and the Alder Graduate School of Education.
