Nimmi Chilamkurti started her career in education as a Seventh-Grade math teacher in New York City. After three years in the classroom, she transitioned to the regional operations team at KIPP-NYC. In her most recent role as Regional Director of Operations, she managed the central operations team, coached school-based operations staff, and led initiatives across a network of eleven schools. She also built and supported critical systems for the organization, including compliance, insurance, procurement, student data, and a portfolio of government grants. Nimmi earned a BA in Public Policy from Duke University as a Robertson Scholar. She also holds a Master’s degree in Education from Pace University and an MPA from New York University Wagner, where she was a recipient of the Public Service Scholarship.
