Managing Director, Give Forward Foundation

Nithin Iyengar is the Managing Director at the Give Forward Foundation, where he leads the foundation’s strategy and overall impact, focused on driving significant, lasting improvements in Bay Area district schools.

Previously, Nithin was a partner at The Bridgespan Group. He joined the San Francisco office in 2010, ultimately serving as its Office Head from 2020 to 2025. As a leader in Bridgespan’s education practice, his work spanned early childhood, K-12, and place-based initiatives, and he co-authored papers such as “School District Innovation Zones” and “Rethinking High School Turnarounds.”

Nithin’s career began in the classroom as a high school math teacher and instructional coach. He later spent seven years in district leadership roles with the Pittsburg Unified School District, Oakland Unified School District, and the School District of Philadelphia.

He is active in the education community, serving on the Board of Directors for the Alder Graduate School of Education, The New Teacher Center, and One World Network of Schools. Nithin earned a BA in Computer Science from Harvard University, an MA from Teachers College, Columbia University, and an Ed.M from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
